Talking Circles

A talking circle is a traditional indigenous practice, where relatives sit in a circle and take turns speaking to share their thoughts, experiences, and perspectives on a topic similar to a support group.

In Winnebago, talking circles there is a strong emphasis on active listening and creating a safe space for everyone to be heard, without interruption or debate. At WCHs, we untilize this practice to connect to our roots as we share our experiences and seek healthing.
