Shuttle Services

Winnebago, NE to Sioux City, IA

The Shuttle is one of WCHS's two options for non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) services. This shuttle makes two trips each day from Sioux City to Winnebago and back, allowing our relative increased accessibility to health appointments.

Mobilizing our relatives allows for better access of services and more equitable healthcare access for all. By better equipping our passengers with mobility options like this, we are ensuring our relatives can make it to regular appointments in Winnebago and Sioux City so they can take advantage of the many preventive healthcare services available to them in both networks.

Using the Shuttle

  • At this time, all passengers MUST make a reservation in advance, call 402-745-3950 to ensure your spot on our shuttle. 
  • All passengers MUST comply with WCHS's passenger code of conduct
  • Pick Up and Drop Off in Winnebago will be at WCHS's Main Entrance.
  • Pick Up and Drop Off in Sioux City will be at Urban Indian Connections.
  • The shuttle is available Monday through Friday. 

Advance Reservation Required

The shuttle service is only available to patients with scheduled and verified appointments. When you call to reserve your spot, we will verify your appointment to confirm your eligibility for the shuttle. Medication pick-ups are allowed but will also be verified and still require an advanced reservation. 

  • Patients must call at least 24 hours in advance to reserve a spot on the shuttle.

Passenger Code of Conduct

The health and safety of our patients, relatives, and employees is our number one priority. The Passenger Code of Conduct is a summary of nonnegotiable passenger expectations. As such, our employees reserve the right to refuse passage, call WCHS security or law enforcement as needed.

We Expect a Round Trip

We provide reliable shuttle services to enable our relatives in Sioux City seeking healthcare services in Winnebago. If you are riding on our morning shuttle, we assume you will be needing our afternoon services unless our drivers are otherwise informed.

This does not mean that the shuttle will delay others to wait for you, but rather we ask as a courtesy, allowing us to maximize resources, please inform your Motor Vehicle Operators if you have made other arrangements.
