If you are admitted to the hospital, the Inpatient Unit offers the best of both worlds: the high-quality medical and nursing care you expect with the attentive, personalized care you deserve. Our Inpatient Unit provides exceptional healthcare focusing on your total well-being.
While you are with us our skilled nurses and medical professionals provide patients with 24-hour care, ensuring that your healthcare needs are met around the clock. This dedicated care team is committed to delivering comprehensive, patient-centered care that addresses all aspects of your health.
Admission Standards & Specialized Referrals
The Inpatient Unit at Twelve Clans Unity Hospital adheres to the same high admission standards as other reputable hospitals, such as MercyOne or UnityPoint in Sioux City. These standards are set by federal regulations to ensure you receive the best care possible. In cases requiring a higher level of care, such as surgery, childbirth, or cancer diagnosis and treatment, we refer patients to specialized facilities or providers in the area. Admission to our Inpatient Services Unit is determined by the condition of the patient and the Inpatient Hospitalist.
Medical Care & Treatment
Our Inpatient Unit provides a wide array of medical care services, including treatment for:
- Acute Pancreatitis
- Nausea and Vomiting
- Dehydration
- Simple Pneumonia
- Medically Assisted Hospice/End of Life Care
These are just examples of the many conditions we can treat. For patients requiring convalescent care, assisted living services, or home health care, we can provide referrals to other professional facilities within the region.
Personalized Care and Discharge Planning
At WCHS, we understand the importance of a smooth transition from hospital to home. Our dedicated team creates thorough discharge plans and arranges any necessary follow-up care to ensure a successful transition when you leave the hospital. Our goal is to help you return home and to your daily activities as quickly and safely as possible.
