WCHS Extends Primary Care Clinic Hours

Winnebago, NE – Winnebago Comprehensive Healthcare System will be extending our primary care clinic hours to open Monday- Friday at 7:00 AM beginning on November 1st.

The primary care clinic, formerly known as the outpatient clinic, will now be open on Monday through Thursday from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM and Friday from 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM. These hours will allow for before-work or school appointments to enable patients to better fit their annual exams or health screens into their schedules.

“Working parents and children in school are often busy Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Our goal by extending our primary care clinic hours is to improve our ability to accommodate and provide services to these audiences” Explains Chief Nursing Officer, Sara Mcintosh.

The primary entrance to the south of WCHS with the pavilion will be open from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, patients seeking primary care appointments outside of these hours will need to use the east entrance.

As an organization, the Winnebago Comprehensive Health System is elevating primary care services to encourage patients to be proactive about their health. By choosing annual exams and screenings individuals can not only prevent trips to the emergency room or cut down on the demands for emergency medical services, but they can receive advice, guidance, referral services, and support in improving their health or bettering their quality of life
