WCHS Creates and Launches New Network

Winnebago, NE – The Winnebago Comprehensive Healthcare System is pleased to announce the successful transition to a new independent network. The establishment of this new network is the third phase of a technology transformation that represents a significant investment that starts by advancing our staff operations and ends with an improved patient experience.

"By engineering the new domain, phone systems, and network, the health system and those we serve enjoy enhanced bandwidth, functionality, reliability, and digital independence to support the nation-leading indigenous healthcare we are striving to provide," explains Information Technology Manager, Monti Molzen.

By upgrading to this new network, WCHS recognizes the importance of effective communication, and technology place in delivering innovative quality care to meet the needs of today’s patients/relatives they serve. WCHS has a big year ahead of them as they seek to use the new network’s capabilities and adaptability, in conjunction with the communication and collaboration tools enabled by the new domain/phone systems to accomplish several of the strategic goals listed in their FY24 Annual Plan.

David Edwards, CEO of WCHS, expressed his enthusiasm for the new system's implementation, stating, “We are thrilled to announce that the transition to our new independent network was a success. This bold move toward organizational independence allows us to revolutionize our internal processes and enhance patient interactions in person, on the phone, and online.”

In this process, WCHS took and is still taking proactive steps to minimize service disruption to patients and staff as they finish the remaining steps of this transition. This necessary but significant undertaking has occurred with minimal unscheduled interruptions to patient experience as possible. WCHS extends its gratitude to the community for their support and grace during this time and reminds them to update their contact information to the following to ensure their smoothest transitions in care.
