At the helm of the department is Nurse Educator Sheryl Steuk, who has been an esteemed member of the Nursing Administration Team for the last five years. In her role, Sheryl serves as an advisor, collaborator, and patient advocate, providing invaluable resources to clinical staff. Sheryl plays a multifaceted role that includes mentoring new hires, conducting skills labs, and leading educational sessions directly within departments during shifts. This hands-on approach not only fosters a supportive learning environment but also ensures that our nurses are proficient in the latest techniques, equipment, and standards of care.

WCHS ensures all nurses have the required state licensure and perform annual training requirements as mandated. Sheryl’s efforts have resulted in an impressive 100% compliance rate for up-to-date licensures and certifications among our nursing staff, which includes 2 Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), 6 Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), 1 Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), and approximately 44 Registered Nurses (RNs).
